Petition to have Tumblr actually do something about porn blog bots following users.
• It’s annoying.
• It gives an imperfect metric for how many followers you have. (I would estimate about 25% of my “followers” are porn blogs run by bots).
• It makes pulling up your activity page iffy even if you use Tumblr strictly for SFW content.
• It’s problematic for individuals who have struggled with sex and/or pornography addictions, especially since many of the blog names are not obviously porn names, causing you to preview the blog.
• It exposes minors to illegal and harmful content.
And to many of us:
• It’s disgusting.
• it’s degrading to human beings, especially women.
• It makes Tumblr a less classy, less reputable place.
Please share this if you agree this is a serious problem.
talking to someone with an open mind is like seriously my favorite things because there’s never an end to what you can talk about and learn
worth noting:
- It was a pack of 15 people driving cars/trucks decked out in confederate flags, banners, and US flags. All 15 are being brought to justice, and this is just the latest news on the whole debaucle.
- They did this in a predominately black neighborhood.
- The caravan passed a public park, and these two schmucks decided to take a detour over to a group of black people
- These people were a family having a birthday party for their kids
- The witness concensus of what they did when harassing the party was “yelling racial slurs and displaying a crowbar, a knife and either a rifle or a shotgun".
- Threatening the lives of children likely earned some brownie points with the judge and lengthened their sentences.
- Georgia has some strict laws regarding gang activity, which applied to a large group of armed individuals actively setting out to harass a community with very openly racist motivation.
- On top of the sentence, these two are also banished from the county this incident occurred in. This means they’ll also have to sell or give up property they own.
- I’m seeing a lot of people try to argue this is unjust because they have the right to ‘freedom of speech’, but I hope that’s just because these people defending it haven’t read any of the details. This is not freedom of speech, it is domestic terrorism, and was labeled as such by the police.
Whole brandished weapons element has been something of a buried lead, as have the number of perpetrators.
I also didn’t realize that it was even possible to banish someone from a county in the US.
Yeah, headline makes it seem like they just waved a flag and yelled some stuff, not “large group of well-armed people went looking for trouble and are now unhappy that they found it.”

how come there isnt a single college professor out there that realizes the address bar on chrome doubles as a google search. every time i see a professor open chrome and then type in google.com i lose 2 days off my life span
this post is making college professors mad every time i get a notification on this post and its a professor upset that theyve been Called Out i just gain back 2 days of my lifespan so keep it up, i might eventually regain all the days i lost watching yall try to figure out how to use The Internet
Also people don’t seem to notice autocomplete happening so they laboriously type the whole thing even though it’s RIGHT THERE JUST HIT ENTERRRRRRR
Bonus round: college professors not realizing the YouTube autoplay so every damn time you finish watching a video the whole class has to painstakingly watch the timer run out and then the professor is shocked when the next video starts playing
